Proliferating Noise
Digital Design
Concept Development
Proliferating Noise was developed as a conceptual motion graphics project exploring anxiety through abstract visual communication. The animation uses shape, repetition and pacing to represent escalating mental noise and emotional tension.
Design Problem
The challenge of the project was communicating an internal psychological experience in a non-literal way without using narrative. The animation needed to visually convey overwhelm and instability while remaining engaging and emotionally impactful.
Design Solution
The final animation uses repetitive motion and controlled compositional shifts to reflect anxious thought patterns. I utilised the wiggle expression to build tension, alongside shifts in colour, deliberate imbalance, and moments of restored visual balance to represent anxiety.
Adobe After Effects and Illustrator were utilised in this project.
