Concept Development
Research into the foundation’s values, audience, and existing visual language guided the creative direction. Teddy bears were chosen as symbols of comfort and childhood, providing an approachable visual metaphor. Character exploration, illustration development, and colour refinement shaped the final concept into a cohesive card system.
Design Problem
Miracle Babies Foundation supports premature and sick newborns and their families through difficult and often emotional experiences. The challenge was to create a meaningful design outcome that reflected the organisation’s mission while communicating care, hope, and connection in a respectful and engaging way.
Design Solution
Traditional playing cards were reimagined through a series of illustrated teddy bear characters representing miracle babies. Inspired by familiar card figures, the design introduced warmth and personality while maintaining recognisable gameplay elements. A soft colour palette helped create a cohesive and compassionate visual identity.
Adobe Illustrator was utilised in this project.
